Have you ever gotten to a point where you realized that you were spending most of your "blogging time" researching ways to make your blog better. . . and not nearly as much time actually making it better?

I definetely fell into that trap when I first started getting serious about my blog.

A free ebook? I need it, now! New blogging printables? I already have a notebook full, but sign me up! "13 awesome secrets to a better blog" on Pinterest? Must. Click. Now! I'm telling you, it was bad.

Then it hit me. Forget the printables and the ebooks. TIME is the most valuable blogging resource of all.

Once I realized that, I made a conscious decision to get a lot more picky about the the way I conducted research for bettering my blog. Here are the two criteria I came up with:

1. It has to be worth my time.

I decided to try to find the one best resource I could for each topic I wanted to learn. Quality over quantity. Neither you nor I have time to read every ebook and article ever written on how to use Pinterest. :)

2. It has to be overflowing with positivity.

Starting a new blog is hard. You don't need to read or listen to something that leaves you feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or guilty. Whatever you invest your time into should leave you feeling energized and inspired.

In light of these 2 qualifications, I went on a search for the best blogging resources I could find. In the list below, you'll find my favorite encouraging and inspiring blogging resources. Ready to take a look? Let's go!

Brilliant Business Moms Podcasts by Sarah and Beth Anne @ Brilliant Business Moms

Brilliant Business Moms Podcast series: A great resource for bloggers, especially busy blogging moms. From a post on blogging resources that are TOTALLY worth your time.Sarah and Beth Anne are sisters who have done loads of super informative interviews with fantastic bloggers and online businesswomen on every topic you can imagine. But more than that, these ladies GET IT. They're moms talking to other moms. They get that blogging is not always priority #1, and they give you helpful ways to succeed in spite of that. I've learned some of my most valuable time management lessons from these podcasts. Here are three of my faves for busy moms trying to figure out how to balance it all:

Building a Framework by Abby @ Just a Girl and Her Blog

Building a Framework blogging ebook. Great advice on how to start a blog. From a post on blogging resources that are TOTALLY worth your time.Everyone is reading this ebook- and for good reason. It has been my go-to guide for everything blogging.

It's up-to-date and packed full of incredibly helpful information about everything you could possibly need to know about blogging. But I think the best thing about this book is that Abby is truly rooting for your blog to succeed.

Every time I read a new chapter, I feel like she's saying to me, "You can do this! And you're going to be AWESOME!" Definetely click and check this one out.

31 Days to Build a Better Blog Podcast Series by Darren @ ProBlogger

Problogger podcast series: How to build a better blog. Great resource for beginner bloggers. From a post on blogging resources that are TOTALLY worth your time.

Darin does a wonderful job on all of his podcasts, but I especially love this series. His idea is that you don't have to move mountains when it comes to setting up and growing your blog. All you need is one small step each day that moves you closer to your dream.

(PERFECT for a busy mom who often only has enough time in the day for one small step!)

Each day he challenges his listeners to complete a specific task for their blogs, explains how to do it and why it matters. I love it!
